Paul Manata - Owner and CEO
With a career spanning over two decades, Paul embarked on his journey in the restoration industry in 1999. He built a foundation of home restoration knowledge in areas such as fire and flood damage mitigation, working alongside insurance to restore properties to their pre-loss condition. Paul has also spent time working in mold remediation, where he employed advanced techniques to ensure healthy and safe environments.
A cornerstone of Paul's distinguished career has been his specialized expertise in forensic property inspection, especially in reference to roofing and shingle systems. This specialized skill set has assisted countless homeowners over the years in proving storm-related damages on their journey to claims approval, and has really solidified his reputation as a trusted authority.
In recent years, Paul has cultivated a respected standing in the local roofing industry. Before founding Phoenix Roofing and Exteriors in 2025, he played an intricate role in assisting other local roofing companies with the establishment and development of their storm departments. This involved providing strategic guidance, operational insights, and practical support, enabling these businesses to effectively respond to storm-related damage here in Michigan, and throughout the United States.
Paul's formal education includes a degree in philosophy from Calvin University. He has several peer reviewed publications with prestigious publishers, such as Oxford University Press. Finally, he also holds a myriad of certifications from institutions such as HAAG, BEI, and CertainTeed.
